The Centrum district is an obvious choice for those with a penchant for the hustle and bustle of the City. Historically designed within the original canal belt, the area is culturally and architecturally multifaceted and is divided between the old (oude) and the new (nieiw) centre. You will explore some of the Hague’s most remarkable buildings such as Binnenhof, Royal Stables, the Hofvijver, Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk, Mauritshuis and Noordeinde Palace. After a spot of shopping in the beautiful Passage or at the nearby shopping streets of Wassenweg and Grote Marktstraat, wind down at the charming squares of the Grote Markt or the Plein where a gezellig (cosy) terrace awaits.
For those with a real preference for a more sustainable (albeit pricier) food shopping experience, you will enjoy Ekoplaza (Wassenweg) or Marqt (Hofweg). The neighbourhood also hosts large-scale events on the Malieveld and on the Lange Voorhout.house rules / manual general provisions
